Character Application
Applying for a Character:
If you're applying for an original character or a canon character from part 1 of 5D's or Arc-V, follow these instructions:
1. Make sure you've checked and are familiar with the Character Guidelines. Also make sure you've registered as laid out in the Registration/Wiki Guide page and are able to access the wiki.
2. Go to the blank character page on the wiki, hit "edit" at the top of the page and copy the contents of the article down. DON'T make any changes to the article.
3. Search on the wiki for a page with your character's name as the title. Click the red link to create that page.
4. Copy the blank character profile into the new page. Fill out all of your character's info and submit it as a new page.
5. When you're done and ready for the character to be reviewed, place "Ready for Review" either at the top of the character's profile or in the edit summary.
If you would like to submit an application via HTML or Googledoc, that's perfectly fine. If you'd like to apply in HTML or just want to put a copy of your app on your character's journal, the blank application has been converted into HTML below. Just bear in mind that sooner rather than later, if the character is accepted, their profile has to go on the wiki, so you'll either have to convert it or find someone who is willing to for you. If you're having trouble figuring out how to use some aspect of MediaWiki, feel free to comment on the Wiki Guide page to ask for help or go directly to the mod contact page and ask Jeff for help.
6. Fill out the following info:
If you need the application in HTML form, copy from here. Bear in mind, only the wiki version of the application has the guidelines and explanations for each field included in it, this is just a blank copy of every field, for whatever purpose you may need it for.
7. Once you've filled out the player info and have a completed app in whatever format it's done in, reply to this post with a top-level comment with the character's name and [Application] in the subject line, including your info and a link to your application.
Adapting a character
To adapt a character from outside of part 1 of 5D's or Arc-V, first make sure you consult the Character Guidelines for the rules onadapting characters first. Then fill out the following info:
Once the incfo is filled out, reply to this post with a top-level comment with the character's name and [Adapting] in the subject line. Soon, the mods will get together with you to discuss your ideas and you'll be either asked to go back to the drawing board or given the go-ahead to app the character. At that point, go back to the rules for applying for a character at the start of the page.
